Elizabeth Zharovsky, MD


Dr. Elizabeth Zharovsky, MD is an accomplished psychiatrist specializing in general psychiatry with a distinguished academic and clinical career. She is currently completing her residency as a Chief Resident at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she has gained diverse experience across multiple training sites, including NYC Health & Hospitals and Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Zharovsky earned her Doctor of Medicine from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology at Brandeis University. She has contributed significantly to the field of psychiatric research, authoring psychiatric content for Rosh Review and Blueprint Prep and publishing numerous influential papers in top-tier journals like Nature Neuroscience and Science. Her research focuses on the genomic and epigenomic factors in mental health disorders.

In addition to her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Zharovsky has been active in educational roles, tutoring in writing and Russian at both Rosalind Franklin University and Brandeis University. She holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association and the American Neuropsychiatric Association, and is licensed to practice in New York State.
